1545-1563. Reaffirmed the traditional Catholic beliefs and practices, including the Scripture & Church being equal authorities. They reaffirmed that both faith and good works were necessary for salvation, they upheld the seven sacraments, transubstantiation, clerical celibacy, and indulgences.
