During this battle the Union forces break through the siege the Confederate in Tennessee had started, the battle consists of multiple confrontations between North and South. The battle for Chattanooga is a key event to the Union’s civil war victory. Chattanooga had a rather strategical importance as it was a vital railroad hub for the confederacy. Supplies and troops could be moved less efficient after this confederate loss.
