- Day 264
- Bruce Allan Cooper and Gabriel Harris, The Governor's goons, fight in the arena. Bruce dodges a couple biters and mace swings from Gabe. The two make small talk whilst they're fighting, Gabe tells Bruce that he's fighting like a girl and needs to step it up because the Governor wants the fight to look real. Gabe stands over Bruce with his mace held high, soaking in the applause from the crowd. Everyone but Lilly Caul is cheering.
- Lilly tells Alice Warren that she doesn't know how much more of this she can take. Alice informs her that The Governor is keeping watch and contently monitoring them after their assassination attempt in January failed (see day 177).
- Lilly asks why Stevens is still tolerated but Alice tells her he isn't. If they find a more laid-back doctor, Stevens could end up in the arena.
- Lilly gets up to leave. Alice tells her to play along but she knows what she's doing.
- Lilly comes across Bob Stookey having a fever dream on the street. He mumbles to himself about having to tell 'her' what 'he' said. Josh Hamilton told Bob that Lilly is the only girl he ever loved.
