Description:
A naval blockade was established by the US to prevent the Soviet Union from sending ballistic missiles for standby in Cuba. An agreement was reached after 13 days in which both sides would disarm their missiles in various locations.The Cold War Concept that this event matches to is brinkmanship. This is because the blockade threatened the relationship between the US and the USSR in that it nearly resulted in Nuclear War.
