-The Old Testament was translated from Hebrew to Greek in Alexandria and it also was home to many different religious groups making it very interethnic city during the time after Alexander.-Alexandria was the centre for Greek academics and science. The famous Library of Alexandria that housed the world's technologies and records that tragically burned down, was located there.
