Description:
The battle of Yorktown happened when general George Washington and his troops and French troops surrounded General Cornwallis while the French Navy destroyed Cornwallis' navy so they had no escape route. At the end of the siege/battle, the French and colonists won and General Cornwalis surrendered almost 9,000 troops and since he was cosidered England's main general, when he surrendered, it meant the war was basically over.Ajouté au bande de temps:
