Benjamin Franklin is a famous Enlightenment thinker and scientist. On June 1752 Franklin did an experiment testing electricity using a kite. However he didn't tell anyone till later that year on October 19. Franklin proved this by tying a key and a jar to a kite. As the kite began to fly Benjamin saw signs of electricity being collected. As Franklin touched the key he got shocked, which proved his theory that electricty and lightening had a coonection.
