Description:

The main reason Germans would elect Hitler to be the Chancellor is due to their frustration with the dismal economic conditions and the harsh Versailles treaty. At first, SA (Assault Division) originally refused to elect Hitler to be the Chancellor. However, ex-Chancellor Franz von Papen eventually convinced SA to elect Hitler. This gave Hitler a tremendous amount of power, and the foundation for his future deeds to Jews
