The Constitutional Convention was a group of delegates making a new constitution. Among the delegates was a bunch of educated rich white men. Due to this, the constitution shows a preference for the elites. The Constitution had several parts, including how the government was to be set up, states rights vs a national government, democracy vs checks and balances and other things. The Constitution was influenced by the past events, which can be seen through some of the articles that ensure that no acts like the Intolerable/Coercive act can happen again. Due to the fact that the national government didn't have enough power in the Articles of Confederation, the government was given more power in the constitution.
