Description:
This battle of two cities against Britain marked the start of the American Revolution and made the thirteen colonies a threat to one of the greatest armies at the time. This event was important to the making of America because it showed resistance towards controlling governments, which was backed up by John Locke's speeches and writings of natural rights. Therefore, inspiring others and giving the colonists and people across the Atlantic motivation to speak up for oneself and counteract oppression.
