The American Revolution was a fight between America and Britain. The Colonists won. Due to the fact that the Colonists won, independence was able to be announced in the 2nd Continental Congress. Because America was now independent, America could make a new legislature and decide their own laws. This caused them to make the Articles of Confederation. The American Revolution put America in debt $40 million, thus they printed more and more money causing inflation and they raised the taxes. Due to the fact that America was in debt, Shay's Rebellion was put into motion.
