In 1921, Canadian medical student Charles Best, and Dr. Frederick Banting, from the University of Toronto, discovered Insulin, which was the cure to preventing Diabetes. They found insulin in the Pancreatic extract from dogs. They received a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
