Description:

Refered to as "billiard ball" model. He proposed - atom is a solid indivisible, indestructible sphere and contains no subatomic particles.
Theory - all elements are composed of atoms
- atoms of the same element are exactly the same with the same mass and chemically behave the same
- each element is characterized by the mass of atoms
- the joining of atoms, 2 or more elements form compounds
- atoms are neither created or destroyed in a chemical change
