Description:

Hitler strikes a deal with the Pope, who he views as a threat to the Nazi regime. Given the religious population of Germany, it was acknowledged that their primary allegiance was dedicated to the Pope.

Knowing this, Hitler got the Catholics to agree to stay out of German politics and, in return for freedom of worship for German Catholics, and the non-interference of their schools.

Catholics were imminently doomed however, for Hitler disregarded the Concordat, going on to essentially remove much of Catholicism in Germany.
