A. Slaves were brought to the Americas from Africa. Africans were enslaved from their origin countries and brought to the new land in which every colony had legalized slavery. They were brought for labor purposes and did not travel by choice, but by force.
B. Because they were brought by force, there was a need for labor in the Americas, giving the white settlers a reason to capture them.
C. As slavery became more common, some African companies sold slaves to the whites to make profit.
D. Once in the Americas, slaves were put to intense work having little to no rights.
