Africans were brought into the U.S to be used as slaves to build the New World. They were brought into the 13 colonies for labor. Their push factor is that they were forced to leave their homes to come to the U.S to be slaves. Life was horrible for these people. They were treated like property and not humans. They were forced to do all the labor with horrible conditions.
