Description:
The conquest of the Jewish state is described in the Bible (2 Kings 17). Although the conquest was performed by Shalmaneser V, the deportation and exile of the Israelites was definitely a policy of his father, Tiglath-Pileser III, persisting through the dynasty.The deportation of the "10 Lost Tribes" is also described in the Bible and serves as an example of Assyrian deportation and resettlement of lands.
