17 juill. 1951 - The Bantu Authorities Act
Description:
The Bantu Authorities Act of 1951 created new regional authorities for Africans, which were based in the reserves, and dispensed with the old Natives Representative Council, an elected national body representing all Africans.
This was the first stage in the process of the NP's plan to give each of the Black peoples of South Africa their own self-governing homeland.
