29 oct. 1929 - Great Depression
Description:
When the US stock market crashed in 1929, the global economy was thrown into affray. After the Dawes Plan of 1924, loans which were allocated to be given to Germany from the USA under this plan (to pay reparations in the Treaty of Versailles) ,were retracted, causing the German economy to suffer further.
1930 caused the US to put up tariff barriers, to protect domestic industries which had previously faced competition from German industrial exporting.
Given the sharp downturn of the Germany economy, the Weimar Republic began to become out of favour once more, placing more momentum into the hands of the Nazi party.
