27 nov 1936 - Construction of Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
Description:
Wright's last greatest project was the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, which was arguably his most famous and controversial project so far. At the time, artists were worried that their works were going to be displayed incorrectly because of the constantly sloping upward walls and floors. Now, it is widely heralded as one of the most creative and best museam designs of the world, and is a huge tourist attraction.
