Description:
In 1895, two English scientists Lord Rayleigh and Sir William Ramsey added to the periodic table by discovering new "inert gases." Rayleigh reported the discovery of a new gaseous element named argon. this element was chemically inert and didn't fit in any known periodic groups. Ramsey discovered the other inert gases and positioned them in the periodic table. They both were awarded Nobel prizes in 1904 for their discoveries.
