5 mars 1770 - Boston Massacre

Description:

British Troops were stationed in Boston in 1768 and colonists were not in favor of it. In March of 1770, a fight between the British Troops and colonist broke out. It started out with the colonist throwing snowballs at the troops and it escalated to an armed fight. It left five Bostonians dead. One of those who died was Crispus Attucks, a sailor of Indian-African-White backgrounds, he's remembered as the first martyr of the American Revolution.
After the massacre, Paul Revere, a member of the Sons of Liberty, was responsible for the outrage that the colonists carried. He created a print that inaccurately depicted the event and it showed the British Troops firing at an unarmed crowd.
