Description:

The Mauryan Dynasty was crucial to India and its future in numerous ways. The government was in the form of a Beurocrative administration system which allowed the dynasty to keep effective control. During its time period, the dynasty was able to unite much of India, and was led by the renowned Chandragupta Maurya. At first, he seized control in the middle, and worked outwards. This was beneficial because it kept the power centralized. The high point in the Dynasty was when it was ruled by Ashoka Maurya. He conquered and governed vast expanses of land, while keeping a strict system in place. (2.2)
