Description:
Who: The journalist László Bíró invented the first ballpoint pen, but the first commercially sold ballpoint pen the "Reynold's Rocket" was sold in America for about $12.50 (which is equivalent to about $150 today).
What: It is a ink cartridge encased in either plastic or metal. A small metal ball releases the ink when pressure is applied.
Improvements: It did not have to use the feathers of animals. It lasted longer than the quill pen. It was much more efficient because there was no need to dip the pen in ink.
