31 déc. 251 av. J.-C. - Roman Republic
Description:
The Roman Republic was the true beginning of the Roman rule. It was unique in that there was an elected senate who decided on everything from construction to laws. During its reign, the Roman Republic fought numerous battles with the state of Carthage, who they eventually defeated. The republic was reformed into an empire by Augustus after they were unable to satisfy the needs of the higher class (Patricians) and the lower class (Plebs) and other social and political problems.
