Description:
Location: Porec, Croatia6th century
The apse mosaic shows the Virgin and Child enthroned rather than Christ alone. They are flanked by saints, angels, and donors. The arch above the conch shows images of female martyrs and the Lamb of God is shown in the central medallion of the arch.
