The September 11 attacks (also known as 9/11) were a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks. These attacks were by the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda. They had this attack against the United States on this day. This attack was so impacting. It killed 2,996 people and injured over 6,000 others. It also caused at least $10 billion in infrastructure and property damage. Additional people died from cancer and respiratory diseases in the months and year following the affects of this attack.
