Toy Story is a revolutionary film for numerous reasons but the key one is that it was the first full 3D CGI animated movie, this film took all together 4 years to make which is considerably longer than the turn around for most studios but this was Pixars first feature length film having a run time of 1 hour and 17 minuets the film was 1,000 gigabits of data in total and took 800,00 hours of machine rendering time, Having a total box office intake of 373.6 million us dollars being the highest grossing film of 1995 and tenth highest grossing film of the 90s i believe that toy story is crucial to the history of film as it showed that a completely CGI film could work and that it could be financially successful and its impact can be clearly shown today as all other forms of animation are pretty much dead except for 3D cgi movies and tv shows.
