Zhu-Zhu Pets were small robotic pets that had two modes: nurturing mode, and adventure mode. During nurturing mode, they would coo or purr and make gentle noises. During adventure mode, they would explore the habitat they were in. Zhu-Zhu Pets were a major craze during the 2009 winter holidays. They were also very popular for birthday presents to girls in January and February.The target market for Zhu-Zhu pets was young girls between the ages 5-7.
