1 mai 2000 - GPS Is Opened To Public
Description:
The Global Positioning System was mainly use by only the military in the early 1980s. It was opened to the public in 2000 after the military realized that a GPS could have saved people in a plane that had strayed into prohibited territory if they had had a GPS. People were able to move on from paper maps and could now use GPS instead which made going places much easier.
