By the 1970s Rock and Roll was over a long time ago and Rock was born. Mainly due to the British Invasion. Rock and Roll had progressed a lot since it was born, but with the beginning of a new era in the 1970s. The early 1970s marks the deaths of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison, who all died at a very young age of 27. Towards the end of this era the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley died in 1977.
