- He researched the relationship between pressure and volume in gases which led to Boyle's Law which states that the pressure and volume of a gas have an inverse relationship, when temperature is held constant.- He rejected Aristotle's belief in the 4 elements air, water, fire, earth and believed that atoms made up everything.
- He stressed organization of atoms.
