Description:
El-Cid was a so-called name for Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar, a Castillian noble. Al-Cid actually referred on Arabic title Sayyid or "Sid" which bring a meaning of "lord". He was addressed as a villain to the Muslims and hero of the Reconquesta to the Christians( Charles Meville & Ahmad Ubaydli) . why? It is because he is extremly cruel and treacherous commander. In 1093, Valencia was in hands of Qadi- Ibnu Jahhaf, an incapable leader to controlled Valencia. El-Cid involved him with an agreement of where the Cid promise to treat the Muslim well but then he broke the agremeent.
