Description:
The Donner Party were traveling West, when they heard of a new trail that could cut off 300 miles from their trail. They decided to take it, which was a huge mistake. They were stranded when 6 feet of snow fell over the pass. The 47 of the 87 survived when they were rescued in late February the next year.
