Emmett Till was born July 25, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois. Till was murdered for allegedly flirting with Carolyn Bryant, a white woman, in Money, Mississippi. He was killed by her husband, Roy Bryant, & Bryant’s friend, J.W. Milam. The pair brutally beat & disfigured Till, tied him to a cotton gin wheel, & then threw his body into the river. The boy’s body was not found til three days after & upon seeing her son’s mutilated body, Mamie Bradley, requested an open casket funeral.#NOMoreRacialViolence
