8 déc. 1861 - George Méliés

Description:

George Méliés was a French illusionist, turned film director. He led many technical and narrative developments in the early days of cinema. Méliés was especially known for the use of special effects and popularising techniques such as substitution splice, multiple exposure, time-lapse photography, dissolves, and hand-painted colour. He was also one of the first directors to use storyboards. His most famous film, A Trip to the Moon and the Impossible Voyage, are considered the most important films in the SCI/FI (science fiction) genre. This wasnt previously done and opened up other film makers minds to other worldly creations. He is one of the important people in film history as he made other film makers tackle film effects in different ways to the "norm."
