A plaque commemorating King Narmer (AKA Menes) who united Upper and Lower Egypt. The front shows Narmer preparing to crush the skull of a rival with a mace, God Horus, in the shape of a falcon brings him captives. Narmer is wearing a kilt and a tail of a bull as a sign of strength. The back shows another bull breaking through the fortifications of a city and trampling a victim. above 2 servants attend to two great long necked beasts with entwined necks assumed to be a symbol of the union of the two kingdoms.
