- Day 42
- Nick helps Brian eat and drink with his swollen face. He tells Brian that Philip has lost it, and hes keeping Penny 'alive'. He tries to explain to Brian that the devil has found a way to keep people from going to heaven. He knows Brian doesn't believe it but wants to get it out.
- Meanwhile Philip sits by a fire with Penny and reads her 'the three little pigs' in a hard and maddened voice.
- He's had trouble getting to sleep so when he lies awake, he decides to pay Sonny and Cher visits. He taunts them with "Daddy's home" before entering. Cher managed to pull her pants back up so Philip drags them back down and wakes her up from unconsciousness. He begins raping her but hears footsteps outside head towards the orchards.
- He sees Nick with a shovel standing over Penny. He tells Philip that he's keeping her soul from going to heaven. Philip aims a gun at Nick's forehead which makes him reluctantly leave.
