The Boston Tea Party
Angered by the Tea taxes, American patriots dressed up as Mohawk Indians and dropped the equivalent of $1.5 million dollars of tea in Boston harbor. England and King George were not happy about what happened.
Footnote: At this time, tea had to be shipped by wooden boat half way across the world to get to the Colonies.
