Skype was founded by Niklas Zennström and Janus Friis in 2003 as a telecommunication application software that gives people the ability to call and video chat other users through use of the internet. Skype allows the user to video chat with users from across the country without the additional payment. Skype has created a platform for people so that keeping in touch is no longer a difficulty.
