Plant-Based Diets and the
Risk of Coronary Heart
Disease in U.S. Adults.
Description:
This study published in the Journal of American College of Cardiology was a study where the participants’ diets were characterized by the team as an overall plant-based diet that emphasized plant foods over animal foods; a healthful plant-based diet emphasizing healthful plant foods; or an unhealthful plant-based diet. The results being the people who had a healthful plant-based diet were less likely to develop heart disease in the course of the study versus the people who had a less plant-based diet had 32% higher of a chance of getting a heart disease. This is significant because it shows that Veganism could help your diet.
