4 janv. 284 - Diocletian Becomes Emperor
Description:
Diocletian brings stability to the Roman empire, and introduces the tetrarchy, a form of government that allowed there to be four Emperors ruling at once. As his reign continues, Diocletian begins to persecute Christians even further than before, and in a far more violent way.
This only caused Christianity to grow more, since so many of those killed by persecution were seen as Martyrs to their fellow Christians, creating a cause that many deemed worth dying for.
