Jurassic Park by Steven Spielberg was the first film that introduced CGI creatures in the form of some of its dinosaurs such as the T-rex and the diplodocus. Jurassic Park mixed live action with over 14 minutes of CGI.The use of CGI in this film is important as it showed that whole creatures could be made out of CGI and not just small effects background effects.
