15 oct. 2003 - China's First Spacecraft

Description:

China launched their first spacecraft inhabiting a human, Yang Liwei, in 2003. This was a milestone for China and it's space program as Yang Liwei was the first Chinese man in space. The pilot's orbit lasted approximately 21 hours, making it China's first and longest manned orbit to have been conducted. This huge step also meant stronger relations for China with the United States, Russia, and other countries with similar space programs.
