My mother, Zonia, was a great and strong woman. Her story started in Tela, Honduras on July 7, 1968, when she was born. As a baby, her mother couldn’t take care of her so she was sent to a Catholic run orphanage that helped poor and displaced kids get a good education and a better place to live.


This is an important milestone because it the start of life and all of her experiences. Its the start of a long drive that she didn't get to finish but still packed on many miles.
