- Day 25
- Philip wakes up just before dawn. He checks on Penny and thinks of the life they could have with April. He notices that his backpack, gun and boots are missing. He calms himself down and goes to make coffee. Then he check on April's room, Tara tells him that she's not there and points Philip's .22 at him. She tells Philip to do exactly as she says and he complies. She fires a shot a few inches away from Philip's left shoulder.
- Nick is reading his bible and hears the shot. He realizes loads of his belongings have been stolen so he gets dressed and rushes downstairs and into the Chalmers' apartment.
- He sees Brian and Penny standing next to a pile of supplies and Tara pointing the .22 at Philip. She tells them to leave and that she'll shoot at them from the roof to make sure.
- They quickly get dressed and leave with few supplies.
