Description:

President Barack Obama was elected in 2008, when I was 6 years old. Obama became the 44th president and was the first ever black president to be elected. This was important because 43 presidents before him were white and now there is a black leader in power, when not long ago Blacks and Whites were not allowed to go in the same bathroom together. This was a huge moment in US history.
