6 avr. 1764 - Sugar Act
Description:
The British wanted more revenue from the colonies to pay off the war debt so they foreign merchants have to pay a high tax. The colonists were greatly upset not only by the new taxes, but also by the concept that they were being taxed without consent. There were many early experiments with boycotting British goods, particularly in Boston.
