Description:

The first continental congress was held in Carpenter's Hall in Philidelphia to try and fix any grievances the colonies had with Britain, and to set up defenses against them. In this congress, a colonial union under British authority was rejected, Endorsed a message saying that Parliament could enforce any laws they want as long as they remove all oppressive laws since 1763, set up a defense against the British, prevented colonies from trading with England and determined to continue the congress if England didn't fix their issues.
