10 mai 1773 - Tea Act of 1773
Description:
Since the British East India Company was going bankrupt (which the British invested a lot in), and since they had a lot of tea, Parliament passed the Tea Act of 1773. This gave the company no taxes when selling the tea and allowed them to sell it at a much lower price, giving them a monopoly on tea. Colonists worked together in mass protest against the act, including the Boston Tea Party.
